RightNow Technologies Hosts World Usability Day in Montana

First-ever Mont. Event Focuses on Making Technology More Accessible and Easy to Use

Bozeman, MONT. (October 23, 2007) — RightNow(R) Technologies (NASDAQ: RNOW) today announced that it will host World Usability Day in Mont. on November 8, 2007 at the RightNow headquarters in Bozeman.

Established by the Usability Professional's Association (UPA), World Usability Day is a series of events held around the world that focus on the ways people interact with technology and that explore how to make these interactions easier, safer and more accessible.

RightNow Technologies develops and sells on demand CRM software that helps companies improve the customer experience. During the free, day-long event, usability experts will deliver a range of presentations. For example:

• Erin Jensen, senior at Montana Tech, majoring in occupational safety and health, will be presenting effective warning displays in printed manuals that help communicate danger and prevent injuries.
• Mike Kelly, a certified professional ergonomist and a lead researcher at the Western Transportation Institute, will discuss how the use of driving simulation can be used to evaluate how people see and react to road signs, lane markings, interchanges, and hazards.
• Frank Marchak, a human factors engineering psychologist, will discuss eye tracking technology, which monitors a person's eye movement while using a product and determines their level of cognitive engagement.
• Monique Perkins, who develops consumer-facing end-user pages for RightNow, will discuss new web technologies that can empower the visually impaired.
• Theresa Stack, a certified professional ergonomist, will discuss ways to design spaces to keep people safe, healthy, and productive.
• Doug Warner, director of research at RightNow, will present on adaptive web sites and cutting edge artificial intelligence solutions that help people find the information they need quickly and efficiently.
• Ben Werner, usability engineer at RightNow, will discuss how to use sound, light, vibration and visual channels to display information and reduce overwhelming clutter on computer screens.

According to World Usability Day founder and director Elizabeth Rosenzweig, "Usability affects everyone everyday. From the tools we use to teach our children, to our hospital emergency rooms and even the telephones we use, it's important to recognize we have the right to interact with things that work better."
